Marleen holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Rosemont College. Her work has been featured in Philadelphia Stories and Ghost Town literary magazines. She is currently querying a literary novel. The Emigrants begins with a mysterious suicide, and the protagonist’s investigation opens the door to a tangled family history of exile from Spain and Cuba.
Marleen’s interests include history, especially Latin America and Spain. During the pandemic she has binge-read most of Tana French’s detective novels and the Nero Wolfe series by Rex Stout. She lives in South Philadelphia with her husband and son.
